Do any disorders or issues disqualify a student from enrolling in your school?
How much will tuition cost?
Because we offer comprehensive and highly individualized services, costs associated with enrolling in Copper Canyon Academy depend upon a number of personal factors, including (but not necessarily limited to) anticipated length of stay and the nature and severity of the issues the child is struggling to overcome.
Our intake advisors will be happy to work with you to develop a detailed financial picture based upon your family’s unique needs.
Does your school accept insurance or provide financing options?
Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. If you're interested in determining if you would qualify for a private loan, we work with an independent loan organization called Clark Behavioral Health Financing. Loans can cover tuition, enrollment fees and miscellaneous expenses including transportation to and from the program.
CBHF features multiple loan products with competitive rates, and a possible deferral of interest for up to 6 months with no prepayment penalties or cancellation fees. For more information visit our Tuition & Financial Assistance page.
Will my child be working with qualified and licensed professionals?
Absolutely! In addition to being supremely talented, dedicated and experienced, the members of the Copper Canyon academic and clinical teams hold a range of credentials, licenses and certifications.

How long will my daughter need to remain at Copper Canyon?
The average stay at CCA is from 12 to 18 months. We recommend parents plan on having their child enrolled long enough to achieve program graduation. It has taken a lifetime for the issues she is facing to get to this point and we do not believe there is an overnight quick fix.
How will your school meet my daughter’s academic needs?
We are proud to offer a fully accredited college prep academic program that is taught by Arizona Certified Teachers. Copper Canyon Academy's academic program is designed to maximize a students’ academic potential, rekindle their love of learning, and take advantage of our unique credit recovery program. · Optional Therapy: DBT, EMDR, AA Meetings, Ala-Non Meetings
· Student Workshops, Parent Workshops and Family Workshops
· Equine Therapy and Canine Therapy
What is a typical day like for a student at your school?
Days at Copper Canyon are highly structured and filled with a range of academic, therapeutic, recreational and motivational activities. For a detailed look at a day in the life of a CCA student visit our Daily Schedule page.
How much involvement will I have in my child’s experience at your school?
Your involvement is absolutely essential to your daughter’s success. Parents and approved family members are able to write to the student the first day after enrollment. Parents are also involved in weekly phone communication with their daughter's therapist while their daughter is on Level One.
Once the student reaches Level Two, family counseling by phone and visits begin with the therapist's approval. All visits on campus are combined with a family therapy session. During the course of enrollment parents are invited to participate in two parent workshops and two family workshops.
Copper Canyon parents are able to receive updated pictures of their daughter and monthly performance/therapeutic through an online exclusive program called Parent Checkin.
How do you prepare students (and families) for life after graduation?
An important component of Level Four (Internalization & Planning) of our phased student progress system is preparing your daughter to make a healthy and productive return home.
We will work with you and your daughter to design home living agreements and develop a comprehensive aftercare plan, and we will schedule longer home visits to prepare you all for a successful post-CCA future.
