What the Studies Say About Copper Canyon Academy's Effectiveness!

Copper Canyon Academy is accredited by CITA (Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation).

Our daughter became addicted to cocaine shortly after she turned 15. After completing a reputable accredited wilderness program, our daughter returned to her drug use, increasing both her frequency of use and expanding her repertoire of drugs. Finally, feeling we had nowhere else to turn, my husband and I sought out a residential treatment program. Copper Canyon Academy (CCA), an Aspen Education program, offered an all-girls program within several hours of our home. I had repeated contact with the admissions staff and was invited to come and visit the school before we committed to sending our daughter there. The staff allowed us to have access to the students, faculty, and counselors so that we could make an informed decision. Our daughter was admitted to CCA several days later.
CCA provided just what our daughter needed in order for her to recover from drug abuse and the many issues that result from her drug abuse. Our family was treated with respect and given the chance to heal and grow under the caring supervision of our daughter’s licensed counselor. We were given monthly, and later weekly, phone access to our daughter. We had unrestricted email access to our daughter, and her frequent emails helped us rebuild our relationship. The program offered excellent academics and excellent clinical counseling. Structured visitation helped us to reunite with our daughter without excessive conflict or risk of relapse. Home visitation during the later portion of the program helped us to reintegrate our newly sober daughter into our household while providing the best possible structure for her continued sobriety and re-entry into the daily life of a teenager.
While I have great respect for the wilderness program that my daughter attended, Copper Canyon provided the kind of assistance that we could not have gotten through intensive outpatient or shorter inpatient rehabilitation programs. Our daughter has a vision for her future, is committed to her own education, and is capable of setting and achieving her goals. We have great hope for her future success. I could not be telling you this success story without the excellent services we received at Copper Canyon, an Aspen Education program.
