What the Studies Say About Copper Canyon Academy's Effectiveness!

Copper Canyon Academy is accredited by CITA (Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation).

I have 17 year old daughter who attends Copper Canyon Academy. It was a last resort for us. We had her in private therapy for several months without any positive changes in her behavior. We discovered she was using drugs and because of the drug abuse it had affected her brain chemistry and had caused major depression. We took her to a psychiatrist which said, that the best thing to do would be to send her to a therapeutic boarding school or a residential treatment center. He said he had recommended this to 3 other patients and his patients responded very favorably. We took his advice and sent her to Copper Canyon Academy. She has been there for 10 months now. The change in her for the better is readily apparent. She takes responsibility for her actions and her communication has greatly improved. She now looks back at where she was and recognizes what a destructive path she was on and swears she never wants to return to that life. She says that when she first came there she was angry and hated herself. But all the therapy and classes on self-esteem have really made a difference in how she feels about herself and us. We are connecting like a family again which is something that hasn't been there in 4 years.
The family therapy we have together with her therapist has opened up communication where there was none before. The school has given her self-esteem and an eagerness about her future. She is planning college in the fall. Her grades have improved dramatically. This school has changed her emotionally where she thinks before she reacts. She has earned overnight visits with us where we take her for three day visits once a month. We e-mail each other several times a week, so we are very in touch with everything that is going on with her. The school has always been accessible and easy to communicate with. My husband and I have nothing but good things to say about this school. We are very grateful that a school like this exists.
Sincerely,
Gayle
